AN ANNUAL WORDPRESS CONFERENCE IN MOMBASA, KENYA

WordCamp Mombasa is a volunteer-run conference centred around WordPress, the free and open-source software, powering approximately 27% of the Internet and 75 million websites around the world, and this year we are doing it again! Embracing peace, love, happiness, and all things WordPress.

WordCamp Mombasa will be held once more on 7th to 8th December in Mombasa city at SwahiliPot Hub, next to The Mombasa Hospital.

WordCamp is attended by designers, developers, business owners, bloggers, copywriters, consultants, hobbyists, employees who use WordPress as part of their job, and anyone else who uses WordPress in any way. Attendees range from the novice who is brand new to WordPress, to the savvy WordPress power user, to advanced designers and developers who make their living with WordPress.

What’s coming up at WordCamp Mombasa 2019

  1. Workshops for those who have never used WordPress before, developers, and freelancers who want to improve their freelancing.
  2. Talks (over 15 speakers from Mombasa and its environs), sessions, networking opportunities, and opportunities to talk with experts and representatives.
  3. Even if you don’t use WordPress we have talks and workshops on general web technologies, SEO, content creation, branding, social media, branding, security, and more.
  4. A “Happiness Bar”, This is just a name referring to a helpdesk staffed over the weekend by knowledgeable WordPress users to answer web-related questions.
  5. Great networking with hundreds of web and marketing people, including the after-party which is included in the ticket.

This event is also great for teachers, students, or for those working on the web. But even if you are a first-time WordPress user or have never used WordPress, WordCamp Mombasa is perfect for you.

Tickets for this two-day event is Ksh 500. Why do we charge?
WordCamp is a non-profit event. The small fee is to help the organizers make the event conducive for you. This will cater for your meals and refreshments the entire time.
