Olamide is the founder of Hexal Place, a Digital Media and Mobile Marketing Company committed to helping businesses and brands get closer to their world. Hexal Place is also home to Hexal SMS (A mobile marketing and bulk SMS platform) and SME StoriesNG (an online platform that celebrates entrepreneurs from unlikely places).
She has the drive to help young entrepreneurs build a strong foundation for successful businesses, especially in an unstable economy. Olamide also loves to tell stories of women, travels and entrepreneurs building successful small businesses on her YouTube channel
As Digital Media and Communications team lead for Paradigm Initiative, Olamide managed the online implementation of the Rockefeller Foundation-funded Digital Jobs Project in Nigeria. trained over 100 non-profit organizations on the use of social media for advocacy and for social good. She created and implemented communication and digital media plans for the organization’s advocacy work (e.g Women’s Rights Online campaign in partnership with Web Foundation, Digital Jobs – funded by Rockefeller Foundation).
Between 2013-2014, as Project and social media manager at Paradigm Initiative, Olamide Egbayelo managed the $400,000 TobaccoCtrl online campaign, a public health and policy change campaign project using Social Media to advance tobacco control and support the passage of a comprehensive Tobacco Control (TC) law. She managed the activities of 7 organizations involved in the campaign and was in charge of the social media activities. The success of the online campaign contributed to the passage of the Tobacco Control Bill in Lagos in August 2014 and the passage of the National Tobacco Control Bill in May 2015.
As communications Associate in 2013 at WildFlower PR, Olamide was on the team that planned the first ever Google Hangout by a Nigerian artiste (MI Abaga), developed social media plans for client’s album and single releases, developed concept and plan for Waje’sinteractive weekly online chat (#AskWaje) , managed online communications for top brands (Cakes By Tosan, M.I, Waje, Bez, DJ Caise and Davido). She also developed the concept and plan for M.I’s first-ever online giveaway for the ‘Chairman’ music single in 2013.
